I completed additional modules in the Google Cyber Security Professional Certificate program, delving into essential topics like risk registers and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).

• Key Takeaways: Understanding and implementing frameworks such as NIST CSF is crucial, though finding applicable examples for these concepts remains challenging.
• Next Steps: For now, I plan to concentrate on building a solid foundation in network security and Windows systems, trusting that practical experience will reinforce my understanding of advanced implementations.

Networking Fundamentals with TryHackMe 🌐💡

I also progressed in TryHackMe’s Intro to Networking and LAN modules, covering foundational networking concepts.

• Learning Outcomes: The modules provided an overview of basic concepts; however, subnetting still requires further study to master.
• Plan for Mastery: I’ll continue practicing subnetting, potentially within Windows Server training sessions or by seeking additional hands-on labs. Practical exercises will be key to solidifying this knowledge.

Windows Server Training: Exploring Core System Functions 🖥️🚀

Windows Server training began with foundational tasks, such as setting up Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) and experimenting with user and container management.

• Achievements: Installed AD DS, configured Organizational Units (OUs), and explored various Active Directory user functions.
• Additional Research: Currently learning on Windows Server 2016, I’m also researching the newer Windows Server 2022 version and its updates to see if transitioning to the latest version may be beneficial.
